“Just an update on the upcoming ALLFLAWS RELEASE. We are currently in the process of shooting a new music video for the track ‘ANTIFRAGILE.’ The track is inherently gritty and intense, fusing together the darker elements of noise rap, industrial hip-hop, and trip-hop. We hope the video will complement the track’s mood.
The project is coming together nicely and should be ready soon. I prefer taking my time with music videos as it involves a comprehensive process, including capturing shots, scouting locations, working with lighting, and more. For me, it’s akin to an art project rather than just a music video. Collaborating with people on these videos is enjoyable, as it provides a welcome break from the studio and immerses me in the realm of imagery, color, and composition. I aim for a particular style that I believe suits ALLFLAWS—something not overly polished and clean, but rather raw, gritty, glitchy, and fragmented.
I’m not a fan of the typical Hollywood video extravagance; therefore, making ALLFLAWS videos is all about fostering creativity without the need for an extravagant budget. These videos mirror the ALLFLAWS ethos of prioritizing creativity and substance over materialism and money. We must remain true to our principles.
The picture below was taken before shooting a scene. I might appear grumpy, but it was all in character as I was gearing up for a performance on a dark and gritty track. Special thanks to Guy Anderson for capturing the shot.
Stay strong and Antifragile,
Gabriel/ALLFLAWS”
